Camping at Swift (3rd weekend)

We camped on the beach this time. The water levels are significantly lower, allowing room for beach camping. On Saturday we had a beach fire going for 8 hours straight.

Ike does not actually get to eat Marshmellows, but he certainly likes to put one on his stick and bang everything near.

Although we were not tormented by owls this weekend, we did survive a severe thunder and lightning storm at 2am.  I was scared out of my mind. We were not in a good situation, in a tent, in the wide open beach, close to the water, large metal objects (boats) nearby, etc. I was very close to waking the kids and running deep into the forrest, but I think I was too scared to move. I'm thankful to be home alive and healthy.
