Did I tell you I returned to work Jan 3? It is the first time I have earned a penny in nearly two years. It is only 14 hours a week, and at the old school district I worked at before having Ike. It is a temporary position, while someone is out on medical leave. It was supposed to be for January only, but has been extended for February!

Solari loves school these days. Seen above feeding the chickens and playing in the new boat!

For the love of trucks and babies

Playing with flubber while I pack some fine china!

Solaris version of packing for the move = throwing everything into a big bag
Fritz is out of town for 5 days. Day 1 actually went well. I was cleaning up the kitchen tonight, when I walked into Solari's room and found both kids reading books in bed. Precious.

House Progress

Hand selecting our wood to be  made into kitchen bar
Kids bath-the green dots will not be there!
Master bath and guest bath-love the feel on the feet!

On traget for a March 1 move in date

We plan to tweak this blue a bit.
Love this dark grey, we used it on all the stairwells
 Just hanging in Solaris room
Love that green!

They did it

I am so pumped I can hardly stand it. The cabinet makers got our stain correct.  It took A LOT of work, back and forths (as they had not done it before), but they nailed it. I had been pretty nervous, but am so pleased. Can't wait for the rest of them to go in today. And check that lime green wall-my favorite color will be in our living room!!

Life overwhelms me these days, so posting photos certainly does too :)  Here is a bunch of photos from our wonderful family gathering in Colorado at DTR to celebrate Thekla and Dylans love.
