Rain, Rain Go Away

This weekend was our third weekend in Portland in 2011, and our first weekend of just the three of us. We had a great Portland weekend, neighborhood walks, beers at Prost for the Timbers game, tricycle rides and parks in NW Portland, breakfast out, visiting coffee shops and swimming. The highlight for Solari was inheriting a new car from neighbors!!

First Night Away

This weekend, I spent my first night away from Solari. My parents generously gave Fritz and me, for Valentines Day, childcare for the night (provided by them), lodging at hotel of choice, dinner and entertainment for the evening. We chose to stay in Portland. We had a very relaxing yet packed evening in our own city. I was able to actually relax and enjoy myself, knowing Solari was in great hands! Meanwhile, Mimi, Poppi and Solari all had a sleep over in her room-she LOVED it, and it went perfectly!

Fritz got a mowhawk. Fritz has had 3 mowhawks in the past 5 years. One before our 5 week adventures in Europe a few years ago, one before Solari arrived, and now one before baby boy arrives. This was his first 'professional' one.

Mimi, Poppi and Solari took the MAX downtown and met us for brunch at Mother's. And we all rode home together!
