Sandbox Play

Today, while I got my hair cut, Fritz and Solari visited CHAP (Children's Healing Art Project). They clearly had fun, and Solari created some beautiful artwork!

We went crabbing in the bay, on our boat Stosh. The first round, with some friends we caught about 12. The second round was just Fritz, myself, and Solari, and we caught 4. Overall, the entire group caught over 30 crab. We had a feast that night. It was so delicious. Can not wait to go back and do it again.

I asked Solari to sit next to the birthday boy, not on him. But this is what she did!

Netarts, Oregon

Last weekend we spent at Netarts, OR. A small coastal town, that sits along a perfect bay for crabbing, walking, and playing in the sand. We were there to celebrate Thatcher turning ONE. It was a perfect weekend, with perfect weather.

Appartently she did not want her food boxed up!

This girl loves (most of the time) to brush her teeth. Her grandpa must be a dentist!

Oregon State Fair

The highlight of the fair, was the STIHL Dogs and Logs World Championship. We saw the vertical competition and retrieving event. Solari was fascinated, and after every dog went she would say "more more."

We visited the pretend circus, where Fritz ended up getting called up to the stage. First he had to show his muscles, and for anyone who knows Solari well, knows that is one of her favorite things (you ask her to "show me your muscles", and she does). She loved that Fritz had to do it on stage. Than he had to roll out a 1,000lb dumbbell. It was all pretty comical.

This might have been our last camping trip this summer, boo. But another perfect weekend at Swift Resevoir, although it could have been a little warmer this time!
