Solari's 1st x-c ski

Last weekend we took Solari on her first x-c ski. We started with her in the backpack, but it was dumping snow. She did not seem to mind, but she was getting pretty wet. We switched her to the front carrier, and she instantly fell asleep, and stayed asleep for over an hour. I guess that means she liked it!!

Solari snoozed, and kept warm by her great grandfather's blanket.

Mimi spent about 5 of the past 8 weeks here in Portland helping out. There is nothing like having your mom in town, it was special. Sadly, she and my dad do not yet have a scheduled date to return. Please plan it soon!! We miss you already.

A Hike in the Rain

Today we went for a hike in Forrest Park. It had been awhile, and it made me realize I need to get there more often.

Xmass Day Ski

This year, we did a Christmas day ski at Ski Bowl. It might have been my first for downhill skiing on xmass day. We went early in the morning, and beat the crowd.
