In the background is the Overlook House, our neighborhood community house. It was built in 1927, and offers amazing activities for all us neighbors. Childrens puppet shows and story times, infant parents group discussions, Yoga, Tai Chi, Boot Camps, Holiday Craft Bazaar, EAster egg hunts, ice cream social, and a visit from Santa (and many more offerings as well). I heart this neighborhood. Do all neighborhoods have one of these??
We went to the David Hill Winery (the same winery Fritz went to the week before when he had his full day with Solari) They have beautiful grounds to walk on, and delicious wine.
These caterpillars remind me of my childhood. They were everywhere. There was some evidence of a kid having fun playing in the mud!! One day that will be Solari. We went to the McMenemins in Forest Grove and enjoyed the hot pools, and some food.
Yesterday was my first day away from Solari (and a long one at that-9 hours). Before that I had not spent more then about an hour away from her. It was a big change, and felt a little weird, but I was so happy for Fritz to be able to spend then whole day with her. They had so much fun! Friends visited, they video skyped to Switzerland, and took a trip out to wine country. Meanwhile I was at an all day Occupational Therapy conference attempting to get my brain back into shape...ugh.
